TennCare is a health insurance program in Tennessee according to which health insurance is provided to people who are eligible for Medicaid and to those who lack access to insurance. The benefited people receive covered pharmacy services through the state's Pharmacy Benefits Manager and covered dental services through a Dental Benefits Manager.

In order to qualify for this benefit program one must be:

  • A resident of the State of Tennessee
  • A US citizen or qualified alien
  • Either pregnant, a child under age 19, a parent or relative caretaker of a dependent child under age 21, elderly, disabled, or uninsurable.
  • Financial situation is either low income or very low income.
